ifhermeshadnikes: This is the moon in the night sky. It’s a giant rock of dust floating in what we call “outer space”. It generates no light of its own, all the light that the moon “creates” in the night sky, is merely a reflection of the sun’s light while it is off taking care of a place that is many vast distances away from us. If you were to walk outside and look up, you would be seeing the exact same giant rock, in the exact same (what we call) outer space. And if you were to stand out there looking both long and hard enough, staring up at this giant floating mirror, maybe we would see eachother, as our images are reflected from many vast distances away, carried by the suns rays and bouncing off this shining rock in the sky. I like to think of the sun as a reminder, that no matter how far away something is, if it is important enough, it will always come back. I see the moon as a message, that no matter how important something may have once seemed, sometimes the things that come to us in their absence are just as beautiful.
